I’ve been hoping for a pony under my tree most of my life. Maybe this year?

Beautiful flowers! And I love your poinsettia picture too.

He’s so pretty - his fur looks like it’s still downy soft.

Thanks! I took them outside today so they could pretend they were real flowers :hibiscus:.

Another gorgeous sunset, and we never go a year without seeing a drive-through lights display.

DH’s latest project, a 2 tier bar/table for what will be an expanded patio. The scale of the pic doesn’t show it, but the top tier is 3’; the lower is over 3 1/2’ and weighs about 100 lbs. The stump is a lilac tree we cut down because it was diseased/dying, and the slabs were from a sequoia we had to cut down. It broke my heart to do it, but the original owners planted the sequoia 15’ from the house; the roots were massive and were destroying the foundation. It had to come down, but we kept 2 slabs as a momento and donated most of the wood for heating. DH still needs to finish the slabs; we dried them for a year and a half.

“Phyllis the Amaryllis”

I was inspired by another thread (might have been the stocking one???) to send family members amaryllis bulbs to all grow so we could share pics via a group text. Here are the results of my bulb.

Images from my morning beach walk. It was 66° when I was walking. Now up to a lovely 72° here in the sunshine state!

I walked the beach today too, but it was -7 ; ).

We were out today in the snow (had to pick up a car from the shop). The 10 degree temp was far more tolerable due to the strong sun that was shining at the time. Cloudy again now, but it was nice to see the sun for a while.

My morning view from our front porch. I don’t ever want to permanently live where they don’t get or rarely get snow. The first snows of the season are gorgeous to the eyes - even shoveling the driveway is fun, as are those first footprints in the pure white. By Feb I’ll be ready to shorten winter and head south! I don’t regret moving “south” from where I grew up.

Definitely nothing mischievous in those eyes, is there! They’re listening intently to medical lad’s instructions (he has the feet in the pic). :sunglasses:

We won’t mention that Mika’s tail (orange kitty) looks “off” because she’s recovering from getting stitches in Dec and having the fur shaved.

My grandkittens have grown quickly. They’re about 8+ months old now and give my guy a lot of stress relief - except when he’s taking one to the emergency vet at midnight… at least it wasn’t broken.

I like having snow now and then, even more tolerable now I think since retired and no need to drive to work. Where I live, it does not often stick on the ground long enough for cross country skiing (ya usually would need to go up into the mountains). But today was a delightful day for it!

A photo I took of some humor H showed me a little bit ago, right after he said, “Before you look at this, I want to let you know I love you and appreciate everything you do for me and our family.”

We were recently gifted free tickets to the Van Gogh immersive experience, and it was absolutely lovely in every way. Not crowded at all, and incredibly relaxing.
