Photos you'd like to share

We are in Savannah for a quick 2 night get away. H is on spring break. In addition to comics/action figures (and movies and weightlifting), H loves old houses and ghosts. So we are staying in The Marshall House which happens to be across the street from a comic shop and almost adjacent to a toy store. Yes, he is in heaven. And plenty of nice parks for me to patiently sit and wait! And a big step up from our usual hotels. You’re more likely to find us in a Super 8

But a bit of an embarrassment. We did a trolley tour. I am allergic to everything. Spring isn’t good for me. On the open air trolley, I inhaled something and started coughing. Tried to keep it in but it just got worse and worse. I had to get off and get water. The trolley driver waited for me. I always have Benedryl with me and that took care of it, but yes everyone. It’s not covid!!!

Not typical for this thread, but too funny not to share. This is my uncle (who is now in his mid-70’s) with the Easter bunny. I always see these, “creepy” Easter bunny pics circulating around Easter time and then found this while going through some family photos.

I love those kinds of pictures! No wonder kids cried back then.

Of course, one year our mall’s Easter Bunny was led away in handcuffs. He was selling drugs during his breaks.

I like scenery photos, but would like to see more variety as this is not a “places you’ve been thread.” Thanks for sharing that hilarious photo, @Hoggirl.

Keep ‘em comin’.

Here’s one…I’m the Easter Bunny (Fox Hills Mall circa 1983) - my brother and my mom. True story, it’s the only photo I have of the 3 of us together (ironic for an Orthodox Jewish family, no?) - it sits proudly in a frame in my living room.

You’ll be happy to know I was not carted off in handcuffs.

While oldest sat on Santa’s lap, middle son decided to sneak check the beard situation. This was 1987.

Some variety for Choatiemom. My straight/curly bedhead, a pretty photo from my backyard in SW Virginia, a shrinky dink I made during a family Christmas activity, my bro front row bowl cut boy with his neighborhood Gang including Blake Shelton on the left, and my daughter touching the Hokie Stone.

Love it, @LeastComplicated. I’ll share some of what I do in my spare time. Lately, I’ve been crocheting “spirit” bags:

But, usually, I’m cranking out baby stuff to give away:

Dh and our two kids make beautiful Ukrainian Easter eggs. Sadly my creative talents lie in other areas.

They’re beautiful; we grew up making them too (family from Košice region, Slovakia); my hands shake too much now.

I think some of these posts might work better in the hobbies thread.

Those are gorgeous, @taverngirl!

I personally like all these photos. Sure some are hobbies but they make for gorgeous photos. And like the thread title says, they are “photos you’d like to share”.

I’m in awe of the skills shown here!!!

Agree. Otherwise, I was thinking we should change the title to “Places I’ve Been” or “Lovely Scenery Shots.”

Here are all our family craft night shrinky dinks. As you can see, some (one) of us is more artistically inclined than the rest! Ms. Bryn Mawr ‘21 made seven of these while the rest of us made one! I had to help Mr. Least Complicated with the face on his angel, lol.

We have had two gingerbread house competitions in the past (and daughters recorded and made hilarious videos)which were fun, but this year we decided to do something different! The black circle is a penny for scale.
