Today was my birthday and I wanted to spend it outside, so we went to some Pueblo ruins and then back up the mountain for sunset. It was a glorious blue sky and such lovely weather.

Turtle Back Zoo is still around? I used to go there for field trips in the '60s. Loved the little train.

Yes, it has expanded quite a bit but the train with the whistle is still very popular for young kids.

She’s actually a pretty coyote. Three different neighborhoods we lived in over the years had all the outdoor cats wiped out in one night. They came in like a swarm; that sound is chilling.
