Anyone looking for a quick cute getaway. 20 min north of Winston-Salem is this place. Highly recommend though we haven’t had the breakfast yet. https://www.pilotknobinn.com/ We are staying in the Love Shack, lol. It’s also right across the street from Mount Pilot, a place I’ve wanted to hike for awhile.

@ClassicMom98 - do you live in the area? My S, DIL and GD live in W-S and though we are in PA, we visit often. Pilot Mountain is an iconic landmark for H and I; it means we are almost there after 8 hours of driving! At their old house, you could see Pilot Mountain from their back yard. Our favorite view is from Pilot Mountain Winery, which is a great place to relax after your hike! We actually stayed on the property for Christmas 2021. We have done a lower trail hike at PM and walked a bit at the top, but my favorite hikes in that area are at Hanging Rock!

We are about an 1:30 away. We often hike in Hanging Rock Park. For some reason, Mt Pilot just seemed a lot further away, but not really.
