Anyone signed up for this class?
One of our textbooks is “Physics Binder ready w/ Weabassign Cards”. It costs $142 at the bookstore, and I couldn’t find it anywhere else.
What is this thing? and why is it so expensive? Are there any other (cheaper) options to get it besides the campus bookstore?

It’s like an unbound textbook you need to stick in a binder. They say it saves money, but really it prevents you from selling it back or buying used :. Part of the price is the online “web assign” access which is necessary for submission of homework.

To save money I’d recommend just buying the web assign codes. You should be able to do this in the bookstore, or try here: [WebAssign - Ordering Access Codes](<a href=“WebAssign - Not found, error 404”>WebAssign - Not found, error 404)

I believe (?) it also gives you access to the textbook online. Even if it doesn’t, I didn’t really use the textbook: I attended class and looked up physics tutorials online for things I didn’t understand. Some people might want to do the practice Q’s though.

You use the same textbook for the entire sequence at least, and it comes with 3 access codes, so that price is split over 2-3 quarters if that’s any consolidation.

Math 148 book is similar and you basically have to order it through the OSU bookstore. I emailed to math dept to make sure of that. You might want to contact the Physics dept directly to double check.

kelseyg thanks so much for taking the time to detail that. I wish the bookstore had that kind of information online. I was really confused by the ISBN and info they posted for Math 148.
