Hi everyone, I am interested in taking AP Physics C. Howver, I have no idea what the difference is between the two Physics Cs. (I know one is electricity and magentism and the other is Mechanics) However, are they each one semester? How much calculus is involved in it? I myself am not a math person, but I do get As in class. I will be taking AP Calculus AB the year I take (if I take) the Physics Cs. So, anyone want to help me out with any info or advise? Thanks!

from looking at old FRQs for physics C, the only calculus involved are derivatives and integrals

Physics C Mechanics (the only AP physics I took) actually included some second order differential equations. That being said, you don’t really need to know the proofs for these equations. You just need to know the pattern and be able to recognize it. The exam this year actually had a FRQ including a second order differential equation. Taking Calc and AP Physics in the same year is doable. One of my classmates did that and did okay in the class. I’m not sure what he got on the exam.
