How well do graduate schools in the biological fields view students with physics degrees? Given that you still take biology courses and biology related research. Does having a physics degree improve, diminish, or not affect your admissions?

I would say it helps a lot more than you think. If you have the brain power to understand physics and have interests in biology / biology research, then there will be many options open. Biophysics is a really growing field, and many grad schools are probably looking to expand their research portfolios by recruiting biophysics into their programs. Im sure if you look around there will be many opportunities as physics major doing bio research. I know a physics major in my university doing a biophysics concentration as a physics major and picking up a bio minor.
