My HS won't let me take physics AP, so i have to take honors. Thgouh they both have the same GPA weight to UC's (both of these are UC weighted), would UC's look down on it and think that i didn't take the opportunity to take AP when i could have?

THe reason behind this is that i'm in IB, which requires a different curriculum to cover everything on the IB test (which honors does, but not AP)

Can i make up for this by taking the AP test, or does UC's not even care about my AP tests that i self-studied for

This drives me nuts too, at my high school Honors Chemistry was weighed the same as AP Chemistry. This is absolute bollocks, that students should take courses and gain the academic weight that is also provided by a much harder course. Ridiculous.

Unless you self-study studiously, the AP Physics test will be greatly difficult. UCs looks at AP test scores regardless of self-study or not.

I don't think the UC's care. It's not the same, trust me.

Physics B is a *****

Physics C is Hell on Earth. Electromagnetism and Magnetism is uncomprehensable to me!!!

Biggest mistake of my life. Glad it was in Senior Year when it didn't count. Man it ruined by perfect streak of 5s on APs.

Well, for Physics C I only took Mechanics. A 3 is alright, I can't imagine how insane E/M would have been...

Ah, yes. Electricity and Magnetism made Mechanics look like a huge joke. That whole subject was just ridiculous--I literally guessed 3/4 of the MC and blundered my way through FR.

The curve for E/M is actually easier than the mechanics test. If you feel up to it, you could take both Ap exams. But if you have to take one, take mechanics.
