Hey i am planning to major in economics.
Should i choose physics hl or geo hl as my third HL subject. The two others i have chosen are Math HL and Economics HL
Geography would make the most sense for an economics major. It requires the ability to do applied math (like economics), reading charts/graphs as well as various math, includes lots of factors that apply to Economics (development, migration, poverty, sustainability, urban planning and issues, inequality, global interactions…) as well as physical geography issues that work well with ESS.
What foreign language will you be taking? If you’re not strong in your current level 3 language, don’t hesitate to pick another one “ab initio”. For economics, 3 would make special sense: French (Canada = first trading partner, EADS, Michelin, natural gas/energy), Chinese (logistics with suply chain, manufacturing, sustainable development business), German (depending on states - very important in South Carolina for instance.)
