so yeah. it's 12:35am and i have to write 3 essays for english and i've only done half my physics homework of which i only got one correct answer to... and i just got my current physics grade, which is a 71.4, thank you very much.

physics is the bloody most stupid and pointless subject in the world. our last class average for the test was a 32% (how i am getting a c-, i will never know!) the teacher puts stuff that isn't even relevant to physics in the test, stuff that we've never seen in our whole entire life.

whoever invented the subject should be smacked on the head and be burnt with flaming tongs... and now i will go back to bsing stuff about ishmael :) i hope i get at least three hours of sleep in tonight...

Agreed. Physics sucks, and it's the most POINTLESS class on the face of the planet, especially because I'm planning to go into finance. Oh yah good luck with that. I have break so I get to sleep in until 11AM. :)

Ugh, I'm planning to take this next year, and everyone's saying how physics is stupid and boring... now I'm not really looking forward to the class.

newton invented calculus to prove physics...!!
and physics is not kinda invented or something. it is natural force i think..
and physics is my favorite subject!! and i m getting 94percent(my teacher gives lots of x-credit.however nobody does it,but me)

Newton's stupid to have invented calc to prove phys because that's just another subject to torture me with (don't hate calc, just hate calc teacher). But whoever invented modern finance (wait...I know who, JP Morgan!! :) ) is my hero since it gives me a sanctuary against physics.

DON'T TAKE PHYSICS. SIMPLE AS THAT. IT'S BORING, STUPID, TOO THEORETICAL, TOO MECHANICAL, AND WORST OF ALL, A MUMBO-JUMBO OF ALL THE SCIENCES PUT TOGETHER (notice I hate science).

Is it just me or do all physics classes in every school seem unbelievably hard... our teacher is so awesome (we're convinced he STILL works for the US air force), but he can't teach. Obviously, his teaching job is a cover for his espionage work. But anyways, is physics a cursed class in every school?

The physics teacher at my school makes the tests so hard that he has to curve it. He's been curving every test since the beginning of the school year, according to the students who take the class. The final was worth 50%, so he decided to allow his students to write anything on the front and back of a piece of binder paper to use on the final.

Back in Ukraine, physics was cool, but here in America, it seems just boring. (or maybe just senioritis :) ) Every week we have a test on a chapter and all 20 problems are due on the test day. It is not hard, it just gets very tedious. I like science anyway though.

Physics is like the number one subject. What is the point of learning something like calc if you dont have any applications for it. Find the moment of this just for fun, not to know how much power you need to make it move. Physics is tough but it is useful in life, but not as much as stats, which owns everything.

mattd, how anyone could like stats is beyond me. I literally napped during that class and didn't take notes or do the homework (just a little so when she came by to check it) but it was so easy. i got a 99.3 final average with no work whatsoever put into it.so pointless

but i didn't have physics yet. is there such thing as physics A? my school just says AP Physics and there's only one of them. i doubt it's C.

Stats is useful when applied. It is very useful for computer programming and makes up a good chunk of discrete math. Good topics in statistics include such things as the number of cobinations to x1 + x2 + xn = # and all the x are positive, the birthday problem, prob of hashing collisions, monte carlo algorithms, number of inversions, average case analysis of algorithms, Tower of Hanoi puzzles and some other stuff. Not the stuff covered on the AP test, but it counts as Prob/Stats.
