Apparently, the school I'm going to offers a 5 year program that allows you to double major in Physics and Engineering.

From your guys' experience, is there any benefit to having a Physics degree with the Engineering one? Will it make you more competitive in Graduate School applications if you get a decent GPA in both? Is it worth the extra year? Will it help in the professional world?

I obviously don't expect all these questions to be answered (just a few of my own questions), and I know that these answers can only be from your perspective, but I would just just like some input so I can get a better idea of what it all entails. I plan to talk to an adviser ASAP.

Any input would be much appreciated!

PS: By 5 year, I mean a 5 year program instead of the typical 4 year Undergraduate program that people go through (though of course this number is flexible and can change.)
