so for the sat II in physics i want to know if anybody has any idea on what kind of things we would need to know for those tedious word problems i.e. things on experiments, einsteins theories, models of the atom, etc etc...
or if anyone has taken the exam and would like to share topics of questions that were on the test or if anyone knows what i could study up for that test because i literally miss every word question like that because i just have no idea. im sure this would benefit many other people as well. thanks!!

For those types of questions, the best thing is to actually read a text book or review book. Not just to learn how to do problems that involve calculations, but to understand the major concepts and big ideas behind physics.

Lots of reading!

Why don't we just get a list going here? There can be that many historical facts or general things to memorize, so let's put it all down.

Then again, there're probably zillions of things scattered around all the textbooks in America, but let's just get down some of the more common stuff in this thread. I only have time for the basics now, because the rest of my limited time to study for Physics is going to be spent on learning how to do all the damn problems.

i like "mediocresniper"'s idea of getting a list going.
would anyone like to start?
i think the format should be:

name or topic: description
