Physics

Hey everyone. My counslier wont stop riding my ass about taking Physics. I'm already taking three AP courses, Band, Gym (it's required to graduate) and I'd rather take three art classes. My counslier, however, wants me to only take one art class (which is one semister) instead of three art classes (three semisters)

My question is: What is the importance of High School Physics when it comes to college?

I guess I'm pretty smart, but I'll never be able to afford a big college or university. Does physics really matter?

It would only really matter if you go to a math/science major in college.

But the main reason I think your counselor would want you to take Physics instead of another art class is because it would make you a more balanced candidate for college.

My chemistry teacher nagged on and on about how tough college physics was, especially since he skipped it in high school.

You will look better to any college, and increase you scholarshp odds with pysics over art, unless you submit some masterpiece in you ap portfolio.
