Piano Colleges

My daughter is graduating in 2014 and would like to major in piano performance. Any recommendations for college with a good piano department with caring teachers?

University of Michigan. Oberlin. Those are two really different college environments, but both faculties are excellent, and they seem to care about their students.

pianojem,
Is she interested in a conservatory environment? Does she want to play mostly classical, Jazz, pop or contemporary music? Does she like to compose in addition to perform? What music does she listen to? Does she see herself as mostly a performer, teacher, or just enjoying music and doing something else once she is all grown up? Does she want to live in a city or be in a more rural environment?

As you will see by the Accepted Schools thread there are so many options out there, all of which are potential matches for your daughter. But the trick will be sorting out what she wants out of the four years of training and study ahead.
