I'm currently in the architecture department but I just dropped studio and committed to transfer basically. I was thinking arts and sciences because it is seemingly the only college i could reasonable transfer to right away and because I don't really know what I want to do. My strengths are Art and Math. I thought about art but I want a major that I'm sure will help me financially. Everyone says do what you love and stuff like that but I am realistic and I want to eventually be able to get a house and support a decent sized family comfortably. I was thinking engineering but transferring into it would be near impossible and I don't think i'm cut out for Cornell Engineering anyway. Does anyone have some ideas or suggestions to majors or at least some resources to help me figure it out?

Well, if you have the aptitude for math and you’re thinking in terms of your employability prospects, a math major would be fine. Also consider the other options under Cornell’s math major: statistics, operations research, economic/math, computer science, teaching math.
If you change your mind as your interests develop and want to go to grad school later, a math major is a good pathway into a lot of different fields.
