Picking dorms

When I go I would like to live in Wheeler, is there any way I can improve my chances of being placed in wheeler? I don't need to live in the substance free housing and I would rather the closer proximity to the science department and the community of wheeler just seemed more inviting than the other dorms.

Housing is based off your freshman Montserrat cluster, Wheeler is for the Divine and Self clusters. If you want to live in Wheeler only select Divine and Self cluster classes when giving your Montserrat preference (you will find out more about this later in the summer).
Hi Starter,

The housing for freshman is actually random. Yes, it is based off your Montserrat cluster, but that changes every year. For example, this year wheeler is the divine and Core human questions. Next year, it may be Natural and Self or whatever. So it is based off your Montserrat cluster, but there is no way of knowing which Montserrat cluster is in which dorm. I also wanted Wheeler when I was in your position but was placed in Mulledy. I was a little bummed about this, but I have met all of my best friends in Mulledy and really liked living in Mulledy even though it shares housing with Sophomores and is the furthest from the center of campus. Plus, Mulledy has bigger rooms than wheeler which is nice. All the dorms are nice and you will meet friends and share a good community no matter where you are living. Welcome to Holy Cross!

My daughter had Mulledy and the rooms were very nice size for freshman. Her dorm was also very clean most of the time, the bathrooms, etc. Her year, it was also a quieter dorm, her RA was almost ashamed she had ti so easy. : )
