So far in 10th Grade I have all A's so far which is great, but they're already making us pick schedules for next year (11th) and I'm not quite sure what I should do. I don't want to overwhelm myself with work, but I know 11th grade is the most important year. (I don't want to make my schedule to hard.)

**Here's my possible Schedule Choices:
(APUSH is supposed to be really hard at my school, but I love history)

(1) English 3 Honors
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Biology
Physics Honors

(2) English 3 Honors
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Environmental Science
Physics Honors

(3) AP English Language
Spanish 3 Honors
U.S History Honors
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Biology
Physics Honors

(4) English 3 Honors
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science
Physics Honors

EDIT: (5) AP English Language
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Biology
Physics Honors
(Not sure I could handle 4 AP's :p)**

Lol still having a decision between AP Bio and AP Envi. I would never self study either, I only mention AP Envi since it's an easy class, and not a lot of work according to most kids in my school and would be nice to have less work with APUSH. But I do love Biology, and I know AP Bio looks much better.

Just pick the schedule number on which I should take.

B, but with a slight tweak:
AP English Language
Spanish 3
**AP American History
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Biology
Physics Honors

The truth is that only you know what schedule you should take.

I would recommend number 3 except that you take APUSH instead of Am. H. Honors. But that's because I like to challenge myself. Trust me I had the same decisions to make from soph. to jr., whether I could handle the workload, etc. So that recommendation is based on what I would do, but I have no idea what your work ethic, study habits, etc. are.

Yeah I agree, take Bio this year and APES next.

So basically my decision is between 1 and 5. Maybe 2 if I was convinced.
Yeah my cousin is taking 7 AP's in 11th, but he doesn't complain and still has a 4.0 UW. Thanks for the help. I'm just a tad bit worried if I could handle 4 AP's.

I recommend 3 or 5. Personally, I prefer 5 since I like a challenge. (Taking 6 APs now in senior year, been taking 3/4 before, just for reference.) What do you think you can handle? Do you have good time management/organization skills?

5) AP English Language
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Biology
Physics Honors
(Not sure I could handle 4 AP's )

Except maybe you could take AP Environ Science to help lighten up the load? And then take AP Bio senior year? Colleges still see your schedule for senior year even if you apply ED/EA and if you apply RD, they get to see your 1st semester grades.
I think you have to do quite a bit of memory work for AP Bio and AP Environ, from what I've heard, is one of the easiest AP classes..alot of common sense and not very hard material.

APUSH was hard at my school too but really it's just a lot of memory work and probably projects/papers? If you love history, I think you'll be fine. AP Psych really isnt a hard class either so as long as you manage your time you can handle 4 APs. I would take all the APs you can handle, but only you know how many that is!

(Is it a prerequisite in your school to take Honors Physics before AP? If you're good at then, you can consider taking AP Physics as well. Just a suggestion though, don't overload yourself.)

Yes I have to take Physics Honors before AP. Still having doubts with four AP's... :P But maybe I'll do it once I talk to my guidance counselor next week. So leaning towards (1) as of now. Smile if I decide to take 3 AP's do you also think I should take AP Envi over AP Bio, or only do that if I took 4 AP's?

Also, just want to say thanks for the help everyone. Before this I never had 4 AP's in mind, now I might do it but still a 50,50 chance between that and (1). Again, 2 if convinced.

AP English Language shouldn't be too bad but it just depends on your teacher (talk to some people taking it right now and find it if it's really hard/demanding..etc)
The exam itself shouldnt be too hard so if the class isn't bad either you should definitely take AP Lang.

If APUSH is really hard and you don't think you can handle AP Bio (again, this depends on how much work is given at your school), then definitely think about Environ Sci...the other classes really won't give you much trouble.

If you decide to take 3 and you know your workload will be much lighter, then think about AP Bio because otherwise, you won't have a very rigorous schedule, which might look bad. If you take 4 I would suggest Environ instead if you think the other classes will be hard.

I think you can handle 4 APs. It really shouldn't be that hard! Again...I don't know what AP classes are like at your school.
