Is anyone here going to Picnic Day or been to it before? Everyone I’ve talked to has said it’s a must-go but I’m still not sure what to do when I’m there. Any tips on what to do if I go?

If you go, you’ll know what to do. It’s hard to have nothing to do on Picnic Day… there’s something for everyone

My friends tell me that most of the current students get inebriated and wander around Davis? I dunno, but 3 of my friends flew down to UCSB for Halloween to visit me and now that we graduated and are back in the bay they’re gonna take me to Picnic Day.

There are so many things to do at picnic day that you will never be wanting for anything.

Pick up a copy of the Aggie newspaper for a list of events. Fun, non-drinking/party things to do would include the parade, the dauschund races, the millions of dog/cat/horse and other related events (if you like animals), sticking your hand in the cow’s stomach, the maggot painting in the entomology building, the tours of all the departments with interesting things, the quad is full of booths and stuff to look at, the beer garden in central park, the band-uh competing for the grand bragging rights against Stanford and Humboldt bands by Putah Creek (good time for a picnic), dancing, the many shows including the chemistry show in 194 chem, the many dance, magic, music, comedy events, the partying that is every where (and the police that want to arrest you for public drunkeness and underage drinking).

I went to picnic day every year of my life until my mid-20s and still try to go when I get back in town.

There is soooooo much to do besides getting drunk and partying. Save that for the parties at night and go check everything else out during the day.

Haha, well my friends did say the Doxie Derby, parade, and performances by Band-uh are pretty fun to watch too. We’re all grads now so we’re not as interested in the presentations by the school departments. By the way, even though I went to UCSB, I always enjoyed Davis and spent one of my summers living there (South Davis on Drew), and I’ll be glad to be back!

To help plan your day or to see what events are going on please see the schedule of events at [Picnic Day - Home](http://picnicday.ucdavis.edu/) See you all there.

Thats so cool that you lived off of Drew. Did you live in the Circle? I’m at Sharps now. Anyway, Picnic Day was so awesome!!! This was my first ever picnic day and last year, when I was transfering in, I did not go, so it was fantastic to be there in the sun today!
