Anyone going?

I’m wondering if i should since i was waitlisted, might turn out to be a smack in the face if i don’t get in =/ I heard its REALLY fun though

It’s fun! I definitely recommend all incoming freshman to attend! There is so much stuff that will be happening on Picnic Day.

This year’s picnic day is about to be epic…

Soooo all current students got that email…what exactly did happen last picnic day…?

yes, i’d like to know, too! Since I was waitlisted, I didn’t get to go to admit day and
didn’t even know about picnic day.

I’m waitlisted but I’m going, anyone can go, you don’t need to register or anything

When is the picnic?

its on the 16th !

I knew about picnic day from people talking about it, and i saw it on the Davis website. And i mean, how are waitlisted any different from Someone who might go to another college but is just checking davis out? You know, like either way you may or may not go. So i figure, why not, I’ll check it out. (It will make it more sad if i don’t get in tho =/)

Is picnic day worth a 6 hour drive? :S

Picnic day is VERY fun.

Picnic Day is probably the most (and only) epic day at Davis in a year. I don’t know if it’s worth coming up from Socal…because everyday in Socal is like picnic day…with more attractive people.

Needless to say, you’re completely wrong :P

whether or not you’re going to picnic day, there’s a really cool renaissance faire going on in auburn, which is only an hour away. its may 8th and 9th (mothers day weekend!) and is super worth the trip. it’s called “cains crossing renaissance faire” …i went last year, super fun.

yay for swords, kilts, and thick celtic accents!

My S was accepted to UCD and he wanted to check out the campus so we attended Picnic Day today. It was alright. Parade was cool, Battle of the Bands was good, some of the bands/performers were good, food was okay. We got shut out of most of the engineering events. Lines too many of the exhibits/shows were long or sold out. We especially wanted to check out the Biomedical Engineering exhibits but lines formed quickly and we weren’t able to get in. Had never been to the campus so at least we got the lay of the land.
Will still be going to Decision Day on April 22 for a more in-depth look at the residence halls and the engineering department.

exactly what happened to me. I drove 9 hours to attend picnic day and I thought it was okay. I really liked the campus in general though and I was able to get a feel for Davis. I talked to environmental program guy which was pretty nice but yeah I think I should fly up this time to check out decision day. The lady at the undergraduate booth congratulated me and gave me a mini 2015 flag and a pen. Everyone was very friendly and I liked what they offered. But in general, Picnic day was HECTIC.
