Pictures of UA campus

In the above link, there is a thread from 2008, that has some really great pictures of much of the University of Alabama campus. An update is needed, given new buildings such as the Bruno Business Library and the more recent Science and Engineering Building. It also does not include important buildings such as the Music School, however, many of the pics are superior to what you find on the UA Website. Thought prospective students might enjoy this little tour.

Not sure why there is a duplicate thread. Sorry bout that.

Beautiful photos. Thanks for the post.

Maybe we should create a regular thread where anyone can post links to other pictures of the campus. Feel free to add any links you think would help out of state students who have never been to UA or Alabama, to have a better idea about the campus. IMO, the UA website could do a better job of selling the beauty of the UA campus.

Clear renderings of part of the expanding Science and Engineering Complex, both Phase 2, which is completed, and Phase 3, which is under construction now.

Here are some nice pics of the new construction of The College of Nursing…

Unfortunately, the most recent pics are from November 3, 2009, and much more has been done since then. When I saw it a couple of weeks ago, brick was being put up and inside work was going on.

Does anyone know if it will be complete by Fall?

It will be completed by fall. And below is what it will look like.

http://nursing.ua.edu/images/proposed_092508_front.jpg

the first pic above is the front view. It actually sits on a hill and is very impressive looking. :)

I think some big white columns are being added (or have been added) to the front.

Boy, I hope that Davis Architect is a donor/supporter to Bama with all the business they’re getting!

BTW…that reminds me of the AT&T billboards around Bama. They say: “Proud to Love, Support, and Obsess all things Alabama” LOL

Mom,

Are you sure that its the North End Zone that is getting the columns? I think you meant the South End Zone expansion. I think it will look better when completed than the North end zone. Has more of a classical, Greek Revival look.

Here are perhaps the most detailed/most beautiful views of the UA campus:

Thanks Kansas. Dont me to be a buzzkill, but I disagree that this is the best assortment of pictures. I don’t know what it is, but UA to me, comes off even better in person, than in pics. And some of those pics in the link you sent are of the inside of buildings. The ITunes tour is a bit better IMO, but it still leaves out some of the most important parts of campus.

I’m looking for the Stadium pic with the columns…I’m not sure what side they’ll be placed or if I’m misremembering. I’ll look.

Here’s the current expansion

I like the renderings link. ^^^^

I must say it’s a very classy looking stadium!
