<p>Proactive is a tropical cream. Once you stop using it, there's an 80% chance that you'll get all your pimples back. It's kinda like the Atkins diet I guess.</p>

<p>My advice is go to a derm and get a facial where they squeeze out your sebum and blackheads. They will also put on these masks on you.. which feel and smell like heaven. They will massage your face (some special method) which allows something in your skin to produce some sort of chemical which will help in clearing pimples. And they'll prescribe you with antibiotics (if it's really bad) or some other kind of good stuffs.</p>

<p>I don't recommend Accutane.. I don't like anything that messes up the hormones.. But from what i've seen on my friend's they are like ..magic..</p>

<p>If you search quite a few pages back, you'll find the Acne Thread 1. It's really helpful information. But most of the members on the Fashion Spot are friggin rich and they kinda sometimes recommend really expensive stuff (laura merciers $60 for a tiny cream thing, etc..). But the info's are really really helpful!</p>

<p>go to a dermatologist, they'll give you the heavy stuff that actually works.</p>

<p>just follow what they say on <a href="http://www.acne.org%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.acne.org&lt;/a> and its very similar to what a general dermatologist will give you. basically a topical cream and the recommendation that you use a gentle cleanser, etc. just take the time to educate yourself on it -- its not a big deal. the benzoyl peroxide through that site is much cheaper than what you'll be given by your derm. </p>

<p>unless, you have some hardcore acne -- then maybe you need accutane or something. but for moderate or mild I think gentle cleanser + benzoyl peroxide + moisturizer twice a day will do the trick.</p>
