<p>I'm watching Sunday! Have to wait another whole daaay, but atleast I'm going out somewhere fun tomorrow, so it's okay :)</p>
<p>From the papers, it looks disappointing... all the critics are moaning about how it was simply a pretty movie with no plot, lol</p>

<p>Otherwise I'm just going to see it for the drive in theater.</p>
<p>It was amazing. I only saw the first one once when it first came out and forget a lot of it, but I still understood much of this movie.</p>

<p>Johnny Depp is a gifted actor. He really is SOOOOOOOOOO talented!! I cannot imagine anyone else playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, or Edward Scissorhands though I did not watch it. I just know it! :)</p>
<p>i think this was a pretty good movie, even if it is darker and more gory than the first. i understood most of the movie, though i must admit that, due to at times when i couldnt understand what they were saying, i didnt get some stuff. llike if you ask me, so why does Jack Sparrow want Davey Jones' heart, i know why, but i will open my mouth and then be silent, because i cant remember the particulars. </p>
<p>my god, i nearly cried this afternoon. i was going to see it, and i was reading E magazine's review of it. the critic (that darn Lisa Schwarzbaum who i never liked) said it was horrible and gave it a D+. i almost had a heart attack, because i love POTC and it would grieve me immensely to find once again, another made-for-the-money-and-without-much-thought utterly disappointing sequel. i was terrible shaken and wouldnt even go look up the reviews on yahoo movies. then i went and was thoroughly satisfied. im not sure you can compare this one to the last, because they are so much different. i hated the ending because its just awful when they have conclusions that are not really conclusions. i dont think anyone believed that jack died, not for one minute. im seeing too many connections with this and the matrix trilogy. please dont turn out like it, please.</p>
<p>i heard that the production on the third movie is rather rushed and stressed, and i firmly believe that they ought to spend another year on it or so. i'd rather wait five years for an outstanding sequel than wait one year for a movie that would make me look back at POTC regretfully.</p>
<p>oh i forgot to add, despite all of this, i think this was a very good movie!!</p>
<p>I was confused by alot of things too but I think that was because I missed the first 10-20 minutes of the movie. I thought it was a very visually cool movie, much funnier than the first and I can't wait till the next one. I love Johnny Depp and I love the way Jack Sparrow runs.</p>

<p>apparently, jack owes a debt to davey jones. he must either give his own soul or a hundred other souls to davey jones in three days or he'll get in a lot of trouble. so what jack wants to do is find davey jones's chest and try to negotiate his soul for it. the reason why davey jones can't get to his own chest is because he can come on land only once in ten years (btw, i didnt get any of this throughout the movie. i read the yahoo reviews). so now jack wants the chest for this reason, davey jones and his crew want it befor jack gets it first, will turner wants it so he can negotiate his father's freedom for it, and i think whats-his-name-who-fought-in-the-wheel-thing wants it just because it's valuable? whatev. haha</p>

<p>you people really arent that good at interpretating movies are you? The whats-his-name-former-commodore wanted it so he could give it to the East India Trading guy (the one that took over the governors position). If he delivers the chest, he gets his old life back. Meaning he is reinstated to commodore, wealthy again, etc. And the East India guy wants the heart so he can control the sea...something pretty valuable for a shipping/trading company.</p>

<p>Turner wanted it so he could stab it and kill Jones, thus earning his father's freedom.</p>
<p>Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good movie--not really worth sitting through again, but enjoyable. I'll watch the finale next year. Johnny Depp's acting is what makes this franchise.</p>

<p>I absolutely adored it...perhaps moreso than the first one :) Elizabeth and Will in particular were considerably less annoying and Jack was charming as always. Felt sooo bad for Norrington, but at least he's not wearing the wig anymore - I'm betting on a Norrington/East India Guy showdown in the third one, anyway, and hopefully he'll get a bit of honor back. What was distracting was how East India Guy played Mr. Collins in the new Pride and Prejudice, and with Keira Knightly there too (and named Elizabeth!) it was a bit disconcerting...I'd give it an 8 or 9.</p>
<p>Oh and crazy voodoo chick was fabulous..."I have an undead monkey!"...haha.</p>
<p>I liked it. It was very funny. Most people who didn't like it seemed confused by it...not sure why though. It set the record for largest weekend opening ever as well.</p>

<p>Pointless, winding plot, ridiculously long and unrealistic action scenes, and the ending made it seem like the whole installment was pretty useless (like if I skipped it, I'd be okay watching the next one)..</p>
<p>But Johnny Depp looks damn good as a pirate, which pretty much makes up for it :)</p>
<p>the plot sucked, was undeveloped and all...but i liked it jsut because i found it hard to not like it. it was adventurous and fun, and i enjoyed it. but i was sad that it had to end so abruptly...a big cliffhanger. now i have to wait til may 2007 for the next one GOSH</p>
