I’m planning on applying to Pitt pretty soon, and I am wondering about the Honors program. I saw on Pitt’s website, under an FAQ part about the UHC, that incoming students with a 32 ACT score in the math and English sections are automatically elligible to take Honors classes. I have a 34 ACT score Composite (35 English, 36 Reading, 33 Science, 32 Math); does this mean that I can count on being accepted to the University Honors Program at Pitt? I also have a good GPA, have taken the most rigorous courseload, and I’ve gotten good feedback from teachers and my college counselor about my essay response. Thanks!!
@optimisticc, The University Honors College is not a membership organization, so there is no official acceptance into the UHC. So yes, if you meet the requirements to be eligible to enroll in honors courses, you will be able to do so. There are multiple paths students can take to enroll in honors courses at Pitt. The UHC website explains it a little further: http://www.honorscollege.pitt.edu/course-eligibility
