Pitt Info Please

Hello Pitt forum! I am looking for any kind of information on Pitt, and particularly the physics program. I know Pitt is a good school, but haven't really been able to see anything specifically about this program. I have already been accepted to Pitt as well as Arizona State and TCU (which make up my top 3, in no particular order). Basically, I would like to hear your experiences, good or bad. Also, where does the physics program stand in the eyes of grad schools? I am also an out of state (TX) transfer, what kind of aid can I possibly receive? I have a 3.54 GPA if this helps any. Thanks in advance for any answers!

My daughter is a freshman majoring in physics and she is quite happy. Unfortunately, if you are a transfer, she has not taken the level of classes you have. She is interested in particle physics and is hoping to get involved in some undergraduate research next year. The faculty seems very responsive to its students. I do not know anything about financial aid although it seems like much of the merit money is given to freshmen.
