PITT priority status application question

Hi! So I'm applying to Pitt with the priority status application (at least that's what I think it's called) with the extended deadline, Dec 1st (tomorrow, agh!). So basically what I'm wondering is, well, a few things:

Dumb procrastinator me didn't realize it took 1-2 weeks for SAT scores to be sent. I sent them to Pitt last Wednesday 11/26. I am emailing their admissions to let them know they're on their way... Do you think this will be ok?

If all I'm sending in is my SAT scores, transcript, and supplemental essays (btw, how many words is the 3rd question supposed to be, if you know?), how are they.... like.... is this normal........ I'm not sending any recommendation letters because they're not done yet, and I don't see any place to put extracurriculars (not that my ECs are that great anyway)
Do you think I'll be ok with just the required materials + short answer q's?
My stats if this helps:
SAT: May -1910 (CR: 670, M: 650, W: 590); October 2020 (CR: 660, M: 640, W: 720)
I accidentally sent them my SAT subject tests too and they don't ask for these... is that ok??? (US: 690, M2: 570)
GPA: 92.4660 unweighted, 97.8890 weighted
Class rank: 31/391 (top 10%)
Short answers will be strong
So will my transcript (rigorous and good grades, esp Junior and Senior year)

I have a Pitt username and password that lets me access my priority application (Which hasn't checked off that I paid the application fee, which I did.... another problem) but it won't let me log on in order to "Check application status" on the regular pitt website... it says "Error - The user name, password, or authentication source entered is not recognized. Re-enter your login information below. Passwords are case sensitive." What do I do?! There's no place to email me the username or reset password or contact for help.

THANKS!!!!

When I did my priority application, it was close to the deadline and I hadn’t sent my SAT scores, so I asked and they said a screenshot of the official report with the SAT logo visible would be sufficient for the time being.

If I recall correctly, the third essay doesn’t have a specific quota. Just make it a length you will be comfortable with. I didn’t send any extra things like recommendations or extra-curriculars and got accepted. As long as what you do send is good, which it seems like to me, you should be alright.

My application fee was waived, but it wasn’t checked off until I had turned in everything else for the application. The username and password for the priority app should be different than for the regular Pitt website. I was only able to check my application status after I finished the application, at which time I was emailed info to log into Pitt’s website.

Good luck :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH. You made my night 100000x less stressful. Ily. Thank you. Wow, that helped. Phew.

I have a question. When they say “priority status”, do I still count if I submitted my application, but my transcript and ACT score has not arrived yet?

Hello!

Yes, if you send in your application and we do not have your scores or transcript yet, we will hold your application. It will still count as being submitted within the priority deadline if we have your app but are waiting on other materials. (We don’t hold an application for the optional supplemental materials though, an application is considered complete when we have: 1. test scores 2. transcript 3. application filled out 4. application fee.)

If you choose to answer the three optional questions, the third question does not require a specific word limit. Just use the space you need to answer the question effectively.

If you want to submit a resume with your extracurricular activities, you may feel free to do so. We do not require that on the application, it is totally optional.

There is no need to send all of the optional supplementary items. If you’d like to answer the supplemental questions and send a resume but don’t feel the need to send in any letters of recommendation that is totally fine.

If you are having trouble paying the application fee and/or logging in to my.pitt.edu to check the status of your application, please call our office (412-624-7488) for assistance.
