Pitt Psychology vs. Penn State Psychology

I got accepted to Pitt and Penn State as a Psych undergrad for the 2021 school year. I’m going to one or the other, but I do not know which to choose.

I really don’t want to be six hours away from home (Pitt), and Penn State is a very close match, if not identical, to Pitt in some aspects…but in others it is very different, such as campus and distance(3:30 hours).

Penn State Pros
•It is closer than Pitt, and I want to be closer to home
•very close friend goes to Penn State and it would make the transition from hgih school to college easier
•large student body, and huge alumni network

Pitt Pros
•located in the city, access to many large corporations and research/internships are easy because center city is right around the corner
•better rep in psychology field (i think)
•degree holds more weight
•i like the school more than penn state, because i feel like psu is so popular and so cliché from
my area, everyone goes there…literally everyone, which is either a good thing or bad thing…

Both schools have great psych programs…
and I’m not sure which to go to.

Pitt has ample opportunity for internships because it is in the city, and there are also many colleges around pitt’s campus such as Carnegie, Duquense, and Carlow. At PSU, there are just PSU people…I worry that after four years that might get old.

I also know way more people at Penn State.

However, I’m not sure if a psych degree from Penn State would mean as much one from because, partly because there are sooooo many people at Penn State and a degree from PSU won’t make me too special, and because Pitt SEEMS to have a better reputation in the psych field, but I’m not positive that thisnis true.

Can anyone help me out?
