Hi all…
So I have been debating on colleges and boiled it down to these three colleges. So I want to be an orthopedic surgeon, so I’m guessing I should major in biology. Which college would be best for that? Also, I’m a neat freak, and I like spacious, modern forms that don’t look junky. Which college has that? Which college will get me into medical school, (and also which is the prettiest…) please help!!!
Students go to medical school from all those colleges.
The university you go to doesn’t “get you into medical school”. You are responsible for that, yourself.
Btw I meant dorms not forms
Have you gone to the Pre-Med forum and educated yourself on some basic information about the path to becoming an orthopedic surgeon. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-medical-school/. You don’t have to major in biology but you have to satisfy the pre-med requirements.
Pitzer was founded in 1963 so the buildings are all pretty new. I’ve been on all 3 campuses. At Pomona and Stanford dorms have been built at different times so they can range from charming older buildings to modern ones. The size of rooms can vary greatly from dorm to dorm. My D is a freshman at Pomona and her room is a double and very small, but she was also lucky enough to get in one of the only freshman dorms with air conditioning. You just adapt to the situation. Having a small room has forced her to put a premium on neatness and keeping her stuff organized. Google college niche rankings if you want to read more about dorms but all three of those schools will be fine.
You don’t say what year you are, but getting admitted to these schools and paying for them is a far bigger obstacle than dealing with the dorm situation. Good luck.
