<p>I want to take a foreign language my freshman year, but I'm almost positive I need to take a placement test before taking the class. I was wondering, when do these placement tests take place and where? Do you take them during orientation?</p>
<p>Some of them are on classes.emory.edu (click Courses, then 2011-2012 placement exams), in which case you can take them now; I took mine last week but still haven’t gotten the results back…</p>
<p>My personal opinion is that the foreign langauge placement tests are a little easier than they should be. If you end up close to a dividing line, I suggest playing it “safe”.</p>
<p>Anyone happen to know how long it takes for the language placement tests to be evaluated? I took the Chinese one last Saturday (July 23) and while the numerical scores were given automatically, I still haven’t received my placement…</p>
