Fordham has residential "colleges". Its a real campus, gorgeous, in the middle of the city....next to New York Botanical Gardens, is a challenging academic school, with great sports, a tight student body and just a great school. Its also in the Patriot League for Football, but Atlantic 10 for Basketball. They play Ivy schools frequently in many sports.

The nice thing about Rice's residential colleges is that they contain students from all 4 years (freshmen and sophomores do not live in separate housing), plus you are affiliated with the college whether you live on or off campus. Colleges fill the role of fraternities when it comes to parties and competitions. Intramural sports competitions are between colleges. Each college hosts a theme party at some point during the year.
