Placing Out: How to choose which credits to use ?

For a PAM major: is it a good idea to place out of intro to MICROECONOMICS. I did extremely well in the high school AP class & scored a 5 on the exam, but (considering the AP classes are generally taught to a test) is intermediate micro too big a step to take from there?

If I could place out of PSYCHOLOGY with a 5, should I, or is the class really that great?

Also, I'm a little confused concerning general distribution requirements. Let's say I have a 5 in US History, Calculus BC and Physics B and a 4 on World History and European History... will this dissolve the general history/math/science distribution requirement? or just allow me to place into a different course?

Lastly - for anyone who can answer this: PAM seems to have a lot of very specific requirements (I'm basing this off of a sheet taken from the HumEc admissions office). Is this the case? Are there more non-specific PAM requirements to go with them (ie. a certain number of 400 or 500 level courses?)

A big thank-you in advance to whoever can answer some or all of these questions!

I think you will be fine if you place out of
intro to micro. I placed out of intro to micro with only
a 4. Then sophomore year I took intermediate micro and still did
good in that class. And I’d just place out of psych if I were you. Its
one less class you have to take and I’m pretty sure you can find another
class that is just as good there are a lot of them.

thanks so much!

anyone know about placing out of general dist. requirements?
