I have already taken the SAT and am considering taking the ACT (I'm a rising senior). I took the PLAN test freshman year and did, pretty terribly by CC standards, however my 10th grade PSAT score was pretty good. I always thought this meant that I would do better on the SAT than ACT, but I'm still wondering whether I should take the ACT...any thoughts?

Try a practice test and see.

I should do that. Thanks!

What did you get on the Plan? It predicted my ACT score quite well. (26/32–>30/36)

I don’t remember it exactly (plus it was freshman year), but I got like a 23 or 24. I honestly don’t want to bother studying for the ACT if I do end up taking it. But I think I will try my hand at a practice test or two to decide.

the PLAN is pointless honestly… i took it freshman year and sophomore year because my school required it. I got a 26 the first time and a 24 the second time, yes i went down two points because i realized it was not worth the effort. I ended up getting a 33 on the actual ACT. Just take an actual ACT practice test it’s a lot more accurate than the plan would be.
