My friend took the PLAN test and got a composite 26. What does this really mean? I'm more into the SAT (and therefore, the PSAT) and am entirely incapable of helping her. Any guidance?

26 is pretty good.. in my opinion if she took the real act she would score like a 24, i took the plan and made a 28 and on the act i made a 23..

I took the PLAN, then a year later made 1 point higher on the real ACT

Okay-- thanks a ton. :)

When you take the plan, you usually get a score report sheet. On that report sheet, they have a predictor for how well you will do on the actual ACT. Check around on the report and see if it says anything.

Yeah, on the score sheet it gives you an estimate of what you will make by your senior year. Mine was 28-30, but I made a 31 on the December test. And I'm only a Junior, so that may not be completely accurate.

Yes, there was an indicator-- I believe it said something around 27-30. What would this type of score mean?

Yeah, I believe my PLAN score was a 30, and I got a 30 on the October ACT (also a junior).

A 27-30 is above average, actstudent.org has percentile breakdowns and other things which could probably explain the scores better.

My PLAN score that I took a few months ago was a 28 and it says I can get a 29-33 on the ACT.. But I took a practice ACT (it was like a real one.. timed, everything.. but with UBMS) and I'm still waiting on the results.. Anyway, I think it'll be pretty accurate because I got a 25 on the ACT last year and I've learned a lot more math and such since then..

I took the plan test, when are the results coming back for this year?

It depends on when you took it.. I took mine in October, I think it was... No, November? .. Well, anyway, I think they're usually in in 4-6 weeks or something.. Well, that's pretty much just a guess.. Trying to help, lol.

lol I took it sometime in october and its been quite a long time :K

Wow. Well, talk to your counselor. He/she may have the scores in but haven't informed those who took the PLAN..

From what I have seen PLAN scores are much lower than actual ACT scores. Just to give one example, a friend of mine got a 25 on the PLAN and then went and got a 34 on the act. Granted, she took it 3 times, but she got 33s the first two times.

oh yea the plan test also give you a score range i belive like 17-21 21-24 and those ranges represent what you will get in the real ones but not necessarily i had 17-21 on plan test and got 23 on the real one

Wow...it seems like really accurate...

The PLAN is out of 32, BTW.

So a person may get a 28 and actually get a 33 on the ACT, or a 25 on plan and a 34 on the ACT

It is all possible....

oh...lol, I didn't know

yea PLAN test is not that accurate since it doesnt even have the exact number of questions. In my class, almost everyone had like 99th percentile, and my school is NOT competative at all.

The Plan isn't always that accurate... I got a perfect science score on the Plan and I've double 29'd on the real ACT (kicks the science)
