Hey everyone!

So im a sophomore and i took the PLAN test.
I got a 25 on it as composite. Is this a good or bad score.
And, do the act predicted scores actually come true?

-Thx

The predicted score is 26-30, right? (I just Googled it.)
I think it’s a good predictor if you don’t do any additional studying.
26-30 is above average in real life but probably below average on here. In any case, a good ACT score is whatever will make you competitive at the colleges you want to apply to (colleges report their middle 50% score ranges on their websites and you should be in that range or higher).

Its quite shocking because i only missed 4 questions in reading and i got a 24. Is the ACT like that ?

Hey, I got that too sophomore year! Idk if it’s good or bad, but I’m taking the ACT tomorrow. I’m going to be a senior in the fall btw. I think my PSAT and SAT scores from this year were a lot better than my PLAN though- I got a 226 and 2300. I think a 2300 is like a 34, and my plan said I was only going to get a 30 at most… so, anything can happen I guess, haha. And I’m not sure about the ACT grading scale… probably the plan didn’t have many questions so that’s why it took off so much, while the ACT has more so they’re each worth less?

-4 on the ACT reading is around a 31-32.

I’m not really sure how good of a predictor these results are, but I got a 29 on the PLAN this year. Sorry I haven’t taken other tests to compare it to.

I think reading might be out of only 28 or 30 because I only missed one & I got a 28. I haven’t taken the real ACT yet, but I’ve seen several posts on here saying they scored in the high range of their projected score. I guess it really just depends if you prep or not.

My plan results estimated that I’d get a 20-24 on the ACT. In reality, I received a 31. So these kind of tests aren’t always reliable.

I got a 25 on my PLAN as a sophomore and got a 31 on my ACT. So it’s pretty close to accurate.

I got 28 on it with perfects for Math/Science, a 29 for English and something like a 20 on reading.

The reading section was brutal for me.

ACT-wise, my practice tests were around 34ish
