I am a high school senior and planning on majoring in Architecture and minoring in Finance. My problem is I don't know how long architecture school is because of the whole Masters and Bachelors. I read that in order to be licensed I would have to study till Masters, but on other websites it says that you can be licensed with Bachelors. Could anyone kindly clarify the process and the difference between Masters and Bachelors of Architecture. Also, what schools in California or any schools allow you to Major in Architecture and minor in Finance or other Business classes. Thank you!

I recommend you take a look at the Architecture forum, where many of these questions may have already been answered.

In fact, in this thread momrath talks about double majors and if and why a masters may be required.

Good Luck!

To ‘minor’ in anything as an architecture student it would probably be a 4+2 year, as the 5 years Bachelors (or those few 5 year Master’s) programs have scant time for free electives. In general minoring in anything while an architecture student, 4+2 or 5 is not easy because of the huge time commitment of studio. I mean, even scheduling classes around studio is not trivial unless you’re in a huge school that has lots of class offerings or relatively flexible studio class times.
