What are the criteria needed to enter a plastic surgery residency? I know it is a very specialized field, but I am interested in trying to become a plastic surgeon, and would like to know how selective the residency program is.

As with any highly competitive residency, plastics will evaluate your medical school, your research, your grades (mostly your class rank, actually), and above all your board scores.

As with any residency at all, they will pay special attention to your grades in the specialty field in question; that is, they will care less about your grades on your pediatric rotation than they will about your grades on the surgery rotation. A sub-internship in plastics will be important as well, and an away rotation at a hospital you'd like to do your residency at will be helpful provided that you do well.

They will not care what you are doing now (in high school) or over the next few years (in college). Even something like a Rhodes would probably be marked as "interesting".
