<p>You're probably fine with a 1520 M + CR. Of course they look at the writing section, but they don't expect you to be perfect at everything, contrary to popular belief.</p>

<p>they mainly look at math and reading because thats the format they were used to for so many years. however, writing can give them an idea of potential success at the college so they dont disregard writing.</p>

<p>as long as the score gap between writing and the other sections isnt too big, you should be fine. similar scores on each section are almost as important as the actual score. they want people that are well-rounded.</p>

<p>a lot of people say that competitive schools look mainly at M and CR, but lately i've been hearing that the schools have been looking a little more closely at writing. but i think with a 1520 you should be fine cuz they still look at M/CR more than W. good score!!</p>

<p>you should be fine with a 1520 - writing scores don't count yet. they look at them, but there are more important things.</p>

<p>back when writing first came out there wasn't much statistical data on writing so colleges didn't know how much to weigh it. The more data they have, the more closer the attention they are paying to it. So this year's writing might be accurate than last year's due to more data.</p>

<p>Yeah basically writing scores arent as important. M and CR are the main ones. I think you should be fine with a 1520, as long as you have 2200+ including the writing.</p>
