Please Assist Me....in Need Of Very Social School

hello you all,

i am a prospective student who currently lives in trinidad and tobago, in the caribbean......i want to pursue an UNDERGRADUATE degree in ENTREPRENEURSHIP.... the problem is that since i do not reside in the states i do not have enough time or resources to go around and check schools out individually...only over the net is this possible.... i would like to go to a school in urban or suburban city where business is thriviing.....preferably one with a beach or shoreline of some sort....i definately do not want to attend a college that is far away from activities...as i am VERY SOCIAL PERSON i would really like to go to a school that has a large campus and lots of students.....it is very important that the school has VERY LARGE SOCIAL/PARTYING SCENE......nice ladies wouldnt hurt either...lol.....please help.
thanks for your replies

I thik you are making one mistake, often the schools with the most vibrant social scenes actually arent the biggest or near cities. I do think UCLA sounds perfect for you though.

University of Miami

I would say that if you're looking for parties, you're looking for a state university.

Check this:

Oh yes... I'd like to mention that I go to the University of Texas (listed number one, and definitely agree)

Southern Methodist (SMU) Dallas. Good Business school, thriving sunbelt city, very social.

How's the rainy season this year? I have a condo at Store Bay.

Tulane definitely

Maybe NYU..

Can you share your stats with us? It would help us narrow down the list.

UCSB & UCR, the party schools of the UC's

USC, perhaps.

Entrepreneurship (where business is definitely thriving) + Big City + Vibrant Social Scene = USC.

I honestly cannot think of a school with a better mix of the three stipulations you mentioned, nor one that excels in them as much. US News ranks USC Marshall Entrepreneurship at #3 (after Babson and Wharton), and another thread mentions USC's social scene: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=77085

Hard to tell if you are looking for a program or a party!! If you are looking for a program then look at Bentley....it is basically in Boston......

USC man, go there

San Diego State University in California has an excellent entrepreneurship program in their business school. Very, very social school as well in a beautiful city. Reasonable cost, even for internationals.

I'd also suggest you check out: Rollins College, Stetson University and the University of Miami in Florida.

I second Tulane

Penn is called the social Ivy- but it's hard to recommend schools without knowing what kind of student you are.

I wouldnt state that Rollins College is a party school or near the beach (its about an hours drive if you have a car). Stetson is in DeLand which rolls up at night. Id suggest Univ. Of Central Florida as they do trips to the beach and Disney World. If you want a beach school check out Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton

I think you'll find its size more to your liking than Babson's...about 4000 full-time undergrad students. http://www.bentley.edu/tech_learning/labs/index.cfm

I'll agree with USC, especially for an international, I think it will appeal to you much more than your other options.
