I'm pretty much looking for schools around in Illinois; I want to major in psychology and I am looking for a school with a good program. My parents want me to re-take the ACT again this summer and i'll probably score better on the math section :P Any colleges you suggest would be great. Here are some of mine:

Benedictine University
Eureka College
Elmhurst College
Lewis University
Northern Illinois University
North Central College
DePaul University
And and others would be great!

I would say that ur chances will go up considerably if you can get ur gpa up to a 2.7 and hopefully get that act up to a 28. The real way for you to get into some colleges is to show the issues you have overcome. Discuss the suicides and sicknesses in essays and really make ur character shine out. In my opnion its gonna be your ACT that makes the difference. If you can get it up to a 28 then the collegs you are applying to will see you can complete the work as long as you are given a stable environment to work in.

Hmm that GPA is really gonna hurt you unless that top 25% isn’t a typo, in which case, that is a ridiculously low class average and probably means that you go to a good school. If this is the case, then your chances increased exponentially from what my first impressions were.If this was one of your first runs at the ACT then listen to your parents and take it again, it cant hurt. ECs are pretty good if you can get some good leadership positions. If your teachers or guidance councilors mention your issues in their letters, that could mitigate some things for you. Good Luck:) (Sorry about all the issues you had, I hope you do well) – (by the way, the poster above is completely right)

Yeah, I do go to a really good school Its kinda ridiculous. But yeah, last time I checked, top 25%

And yeeah I think they will…Thanks guys; :)
