Please chance an Indian for the Ivies plus the other great schools

Hey everybody,

First of let me provide information about myself. I lived in the U.S.A. for 10 years. Now, though I moved to India and am a U.S. green-card holder, so I don't get counted as an International Student ( I presume). Also, I intend to pursue Economics/Political Science for my major. The universities which I am interested in are:

The Ivy Leagues tier 1 (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Wharton)
The Ivy League tier 2 (Columbia, Darthmouth, Cornell)
Stanford (Single-choice Early Action)
MIT
University of Cambridge
London School of Economics
UCL (The University College London)
University of Chicago
Northwestern
U.C. Berkerley

Stats

SAT 1: 2280 (M:710, CR:790, W:780 with 12 essay
SAT 2: Math 2: 800, Physics:760, Literature 760

GPA: None, Indian schools don't do GPA

IB Predicted Grade: 44

Ranking: 1/50

Extracurricular Activities:

Head Boy of School for 2 years

Director-General of MUN
-Attended THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations Conference) (Voted outstanding delegate)

-Attended The American Model United Nations conference

Opened up an Organization called Eutopia which provides Microcredit to the poor. So far, I have had a 97% success ration (with 10% interest) Data found is submitted to the local Indian government for implementation (yet to get reply) (Featured in national television as well, though it was short)

Research about microcredit theory (and the failing of the Comilla project) with a Indian university professor. Collaborated with Stanford University professors over email about suggestions.

Founder and President of the Model IMF (International Monetary Fund) which aims to simulate real discussion of the IMF

3rd in Maharastra in Lawn Tennis

Awards

Duke TIP
Award for President Bush for academic excellence (though it was in the 8th grade)
Got invited for the Georgia Leadership Summit

Essays/Recommendation

Essays: Not the waxing eloquent type. The essays were about me as an individual and how I uncovered different facets of myself during what I thought were insignificant periods of time.

Teacher Recommendations: Excellent (they used emphatic words such as one of the best students ever).

Counselor Recommendation: Talked about my leadership potential

Anyways, thanks in advance for everyone reading this. Please tell me what you feel (if its good then great, but please don't be reluctant to critique as well and tell me what I can do to improve)

Great chances at Stanford if the faculty already knows who you are. LSE’s a safety if you have a 44 predicted and really nice GCSE grades and aren’t applying for the Econ major. Everyone I know who applied got in. But seriously, dude, weren’t your stats kinda different the last time you posted a chance thread? lol

Anyways, good luck from a fellow South Asian! :)

Hey, thanks for replying.

Yes, this thread is different from the last thread. This is because I changed the perspective of Eutopia. Last time, it was just a general welfare organization. But now, I decided to concentrate my interests a bit. It is also different because I took my SAT’s and got lower than I hoped. I plan on retaking it again.

Kk, I was just wondering, wasn’t implying that you were lying or anything haha.

I just noticed a strange coincidence. I run a similar NGO west of your border haha. :)

Anyways, everything looks solid. No need to retake your SATs imo but if you feel you can improve then go ahead.

Come on guys. Please chance me.

Bump 10 char. Please guys.

Another bump. Again, may I have some critique?

You are in an extremely competitive pool. At the ivies/peers the competition among Indians, international or not, is brutal. You’re in the running, but if you really want the US, I would add some schools at the Duke/Vandy/WashU level, especially if you need any aid.

Thanks for the response. Fortunately, I do not need any aid. Also, do you think I can do anything more to be “ahead” rather than just “in” the running? Other critiques/comments will be welcome.

Bump.10char

Great chances. From a fellow Indian.
