I’ve been a longtime stalker of CC, and this is one of my first times posting. I appreciate that I’m a long-shot for Brown, but I’d appreciate any predictions/suggestions regarding my chances there. Thank you all in advance!

Rising Senior
Unweighted GPA: 3.97 (1 B+ first semester of AP Chemistry)
Weighted GPA: ~4.1 (I take 9 courses, a few of which are graded on a 3.0 scale; this obviously lowers my weighted GPA)
High School: Large public around SF’s Bay Area; we send around 4-6 students to Ivies each year. My school does not rank.
Notes: Many students specifically take five classes to attain a 5.0 GPA. I’ve taken extra classes that, unfortunately, add to my workload and hurt my GPA. I transferred to out of a private to my current high school at the beginning of my sophomore year.

Courseload Junior Year: AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP English Language, AP US History, Precalculus, Science Research (a 3.0 class that must be taken with AP Biology), Service Commission (again, 3.0; sort of a school service organization), Spanish Honors, Newspaper (again, 3.0)
Courseload Senior Year: AP Spanish, AP BC Calculus, AP English Literature, AP Government, AP Psychology, Physics, Newspaper, Service Commission
Notes: It is quite rare to double in AP sciences at my high school.

Summer occupations:
I attended a summer program in Creative Writing at Columbia University last year. It was far less arduous than I expected…
I currently work as an intern at the Marine Science Institute, which is a local, non-profit research facility. I collect on-site data regarding fish populations and track said populations to find ecological impetuses for certain trends.

Hooks: None, unfortunately. Half-Chinese, half-German. Both parents attended universities, and I live in a wealthy neighborhood.

Thank you :)
