@kmde307 thank you!

USC - Waitlist/Reject
UCLA - Waitlist/Accept
UC Berkeley - Waitlist/Reject
Michigan - Could go either way
UNC - Could go either way

Wisconsin -Accept
USD - Accept
Cal Poly - Accept

I have to say that your leap from your freshman year to your sophomore year is pretty impressive. I believe the change from a 2.8 to a 4.0 will impact your application in a very positive way. Your course load seems to be pretty adequate, so make sure you maintain that high GPA so that you can compensate for your Freshman year.

Your SAT is solid, but if you can, try to retake it. It could change my view for USC, UCLA, and Michigan if you get north of 1480/1490.

Your ECs sound a little weak, but I don’t think it would be that much of a problem for the universities you’re considering to apply to. Would you care to elaborate a little bit on “A lot of varied community service, 300+ hours”? Cause if I put that aside, your ECs look too ordinary.

Good luck!

@jinxorchestra Thank you! Planning on retaking sat so hopefully I can improve it! As far as the Ecs I do agree they are on the weak side and I’m hoping to improve them. I’m hoping to get an internship this summer with a letter of rec after for a fairly well known tech company which I’ll elaborate on if I end up doing it. The Community service came from working for different charity organizations such as direct relief. Probably half the community service came from the peer teaching which is actually a really cool program I hope to elaborate on in one of my essays. Also helping in a kindergarten class, and for the coaching 3rd graders gave me around 80 hours total. I’ve also worked many environmental events replanting plants, restoring eco systems, etc. Theres some smaller thing as well that gave me a few hours but my total was about 320 I believe.

Also am a white male in an school that’s considered inner city and is 62% minority

Last bump,ppl please respond

You could probably use a few more APs. I would check to see which of your schools look at freshman year grades, which would change predicted results. Not knowing that, I would say:
USC - Waitlist/Reject
UCLA - Waitlist/Reject
UC Berkeley - Waitlist/Reject
Michigan - Waitlist/Accept
UNC - Waitlist/Accept
Indiana - Accept
Wisconsin - Accept
USD - Accept
Cal Poly - Accept

Chance me back?

UNC Waitlist/Denied especially because you are out of state. UNC is extremely selective with OOS applicants due to the state’s requirement for a class of 80% in-state students.

how r u top 3% after messing up so bad freshman year? that is impressive nonetheless

USC- Reject
UCLA- Waitlist/Accept
UCB- Waitlist/ Accept
Michigan- Accept
UNC- Accept maybbeeee waitlist
Indiana- Accept
Wisconsin- Accept
USD- Accept
Cal Poly- Accept

Chance me back???

What major or school would you be applying to? That would make a difference in your chances.
