please chance me!
i want to go for a theater/psychology double major; my resume's not that big but i went to a two week theater workshop at texas state sooo... yeah!

thanks for any help!!

Welcome to Rose Hill! You should get in. Fordham will love having you (as would about 1000 other colleges inthe USA). You will love the theater dept. - Collins Theater is a special place.

The Theatre majors are mostly at Lincoln Center and are admitted after auditions. Its highly competitive. (Ditto the Dance students at Alvin Ailey.)

However, if you are applying to FCRH and simply want to engage in theatre as a diversion and something to do (or give back to the school, if you will), while majoring in something else, that is fine.

thanks guys i really appreciate the chancing! :))

and yeahh, i want to do theater as a major. do you think lack of a stellar resume will TERRIBLY hurt me, even if i have a rather awesome (in my opinion, lol) audition? ive been practicing it since september.

BUT do you think an audition will make up for the resumelessness?

I wish I could help you on that last question. I have no clue. Not sure what you mean by resume…as in acting in a community theatre with major parts? Hopefully somebody will come forward and answer it for you.

Best of luck to you.

Auditions definitely matter far more than your resume. Yes, a good resume is helpful, but what they really want to see is your talent. They want to see potential and willingness/ability to learn. If I were you I wouldn’t be too concerned about it!
