No one here can accurately judge your essays or ECs, which is like 50% of your application. Just make sure your application is complete and hope for the best!

Your transcript is obviously strong. (Pay no attention to gym grades. The colleges don’t.)
Your SAT math score is strong, but your CR is unexceptional ( and lowish for NU). Your subject test scores are competitive, no more, no less.
Your ECs are also okay, but unexceptional for top schools.
No point in getting “chanced” by outsiders. The only assessment that matters is the AdComm’s.
Good luck! NU is a fabulous school!

I’d say you’re probably right in the middle of the pack. Your GPA/courses seem pretty solid. Your test scores are pretty good, but not great, either. Your ECs are pretty average (which means excellent for most schools, but for top-tier schools like NU, I wouldn’t say they stand out from the crowd). The recs and essays are what will make you stand out or just get tossed aside. I hate giving percentage rates (so I won’t), but I will say that I don’t think admission for you is a sure thing (though I don’t think it’s out of the question, either).

Best of luck! Go 'Cats!

I think I should reiterate the above by saying that I (or anyone else, for that matter) cannot hope to understand the subjective part of your application, especially the essay portion. That, along with the fact that no one here (we think!) is a Northwestern admissions counselor, means that the only answer that it is possible to give is a “maybe” unless you have a 1.0 GPA and a 0/2400 SAT score (in which case the answer is “no”) or your parent happens to be Barack Obama (in which case the answer is “yes”). That said, good luck and I hope that we can all have a party on the 15th when we all get in!

if you wrote a strong why NU essay, I think youll get in ED
