Extra Information:

I know I messed up freshman and sophomore year but my college counselor has been telling me not to worry too bad because colleges like to see a student improve and have their GPA get higher and higher like in my case^.

So what are my chances? I know Berkeley and UCLA are long shots, but I really want to go to Santa Barbara to study accounting or Irivne.

I will chance back :)

I literally have the same objective and similar stats only I’m from CT. The ucs only consider 10th and 11th grade and they have their own calculation of gpa. They look at the uc weighted and capped gpa the most. You can find the algorithm here:
http://collegetools.berkeley.edu/documents/cat_113-128/Calculating_GPA.pdf
Your extracurriculars are good and your sat score is all right for UCSB but if you can get >2000, I’d say that your in. I’d say Berkeley is a reach, UCLA is a low reach, UCSB is a high match?, UC Irvine is a match/high match, and UC Riverside is a safety.

ohh chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1384236-ucsb-all-im-asking.html?highlight=ucsb

your gpa will not get you into UCLA or UCB (sorry), UC Irvine if you write really good essays you’ll have a much higher chance at, UCSB could really go either way also, riverside you’re most likely solid to get into. UC schools really care about your personal statements so focus on those to increase your chances

thanks for the help guys
