I know I am reaching but I want to get an estimate of my chances I am doing Early Action and all apps have been sent in. I also am applying to stony brook, Oneonta, and Albany. I want to major in business management, astrophysics, astronomy, or in teaching ordered in priority still undecided though and chose undecided for major. Also I would like to get suggestions for other state schools if possible.

Also I should mention that I am indian if that makes any difference because for some reason I feel as if it would be harder for me to get in because of my ethnicity vs grades.

anyone please help!

I don’t think being Indian will make it harder at all. I’m going to say match/high match. You have a great GPA, it’s just your SAT is a bit low. I still think you have good shot due to your GPA though. Best of luck to you! Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1426652-ohio-state-chances.html

I agree. I think you have a pretty good shot. Your GPA is strong and your second SAT score makes you competitive. As an alumnus Oneonta, I’d also say that you have a pretty good shot of getting in there too. If you’re leaning towards becoming a teacher, you really cant go wrong there. Even if you’e not, Oneonta’s business program achieved accreditation a year or two ago as well. Oh, and you’ll have the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

I did get into oneonta w/ Presidential Diversity Scholarship. I got differed from bing :frowning:
I do want to study abroad in India and albany has a great program where I want to go in India as well plus it’s cheaper in India. Do bing/oneonta have anything similar?

I was a tour guide for Oneonta when I went there and one of the things that we highlighted about the study abroad program is that if there is a country that our program does not offer travel to, we can coordinate with another SUNY school so that you can study abroad there. Hope that helps lol

Thank you so much. I think oneonta is financially my best choice. How are they with internships?

I think it depends on your department. I was in the psychology department and one of the faculty members was the internship coordinator and she helped set students up with internships in the community. What are you interested in studying?
