Please chance me for Duke ED, I'm new to this but will chance back!

Hi guys, I am a junior in high school and have just completed my first semester of school. I love Duke and have been doing some major Duke stalking lately. This is my first CC post, but please chance me and I will chance back!

I plan on applying ED. My dad makes too much money for any financial aid, but he has unfortunately wasted it all on stupid crap that should have helped pay for my college. So, I'm entirely on my own. That being said, please chance me for RD too, since the $200,000 Duke bill is going to be hard to foot.

I'm not sure of my major, but I'm very interested in genetics, anatomy, basically bio in general. I also like psychology a lot.

Location: Public school, PA
School Type: Very good public school, sends a few kids to ivies each year

School:

-Freshman Year (no AP's offered, still considered middle school so no weighted GPA even for honors classes):
3 honors (max allowed)
all A's ---> 4.0

-Sophomore Year
APUSH (5 and only AP allowed)
Honors Bio
Honors Chem
Honors English
Honors Span
Accl Pre Calc
Gym/a few electives

All A's, 2 A-'s in honors bio and chem--->4.13

-Junior Year
AP Euro (half a semester of this class left, but looks like itll be an A-/B+)
AP Environ (B)
AP Calc AB (semester left of this class, should be an A)
AP Lang and Comp (A-/B+ with final grade added in)
Honors Span 4 (havent started yet but will be an A)
Psych (A)

How much will those B's kill me for Duke? I feel like so many Straight A's apply to Duke that I'll be totally overlooked...

Senior Year Sched:
AP Macro
AP Bio
AP Stat
AP Spanish
AP Lit
Sociology
Anatomy

EC's: (I went from middle school to high school in 9th-10th grade, so it was obviously hard to continue some 9th grade activities. Hope they understand?)
This is what i've done so far, anything I put that I will do in 12th grade is just a sign up process, so I know I'll get in.

Varsity Cheerleading (9,10)
NJHS/NHS (10, 12 hopefully)
Student Council (9, 10, 11, running for president for 12)
Various community service/school service clubs (10,11,12)
Spanish Honors Society (11,12)
FLEX Program (run through local community college, teach elementary-age kids Spanish. Come up with lesson plans, quizzes, materials, etc) (11, 12)
Volunteer at local orphanage for about 100 hours by the time i apply to Duke (11, 12)
Part time job 30 hours a week, 40 hours a week in the summer (crazy I know, but my dad won't pay for anything) (10, 11, 12)

I know my EC's are rather unfocused, but at this point I don't know what I could do about it. Obviously, my job and school work eat up most of my time. I have tried volunteering at every local hospital, but I was put on a huge waiting list.

Major Awards: None really... :/. Just some school level awards

Class Rank: school doesn't rank, definitely in top 10%

Possible Hooks: I'm mexican. Also, I want to do a TIP Program at Duke this summer. If I do, and do well there, would that give me any sort of "in"? This isn't really a hook, but my best friend's dad is the Duke interviewer or my area, so my interview should go well.

Okay, thank you so much, guys. I'm so sorry that this post is so long haha. I'll chance back!!!

Oh I forgot to add, I had mono earlier this year and missed 3 weeks of school. The two classes I got B’s in are only 18 weeks long, so I missed 3 weeks of those classes.

anybody? :(

Dude too early. You have a shot. The Bs and A-s won’t hurt you at all. Duke looks at grades, but let’s be honest, there are much more important things than grades. Speaking of which, where are your SAT/ACT scores? As long as you’re in the top 10%, your grades would make you qualified there. Good work and stuff, but you need more leadership and initiative. Also make sure you write good essays.
