your scores are definitely in range for Cornell.

do you have any work experience?
hotel school places a big emphasis on that.
if you don't, just make sure you clearly explicate your passion for the hospitality industry in your supplementary essay. if you do that, then i'd say you have a pretty good shot!

Your stats are great, and if you can articulate why you want to work in the hospitality industry, you have a great shot! Did you apply Early Decision?

you do have a good shot! no SPECIFIC experience but still, your hospital work and leadership skills are good! good test scores! just make sure your essays and recs are great and i think you have a good shot :) but then...im still applying and trying to get in so what do i know?

I think you'd have a way way higher chance in arts and sciences, since the Hotel school strongly emphasizes work experience and passion for the industry. Unless you can truly show your passion and interest in the field (through the essays and the interview) , go for Arts and Sciences.

im applying from Alberta lol and i would say you have great chances. but again, what do we know, i mean we are only applicants and we dont know anything about ur essays so chance threads are rly stupid. Afterall, its the admission office's decision that counts

no offense but hotel is all about experience. i also think youd have a better shot at Arts and Science. hotel score ranges arent very impressive thats bc they'd rather take ppl who are passionate about hospitality

i agree, your scores and ECs are amazing, but from what i've read there really isn't any relation to the hospitality industry, and the hotel school really cares that you have already had some type of interaction and experience with the industry. i think if you apply to arts and science you have like a 65-80% shot, but for hotel it's more of a 30-50% shot, to be honest.

I can't find the thread on CC or on the Cornell website but I'm pretty sure you can apply to two different majors at two different schools, having one be your first choice.
