Good gpa and rigorous class schedule! Make sure you keep it up! In order to go to schools like UPenn and Yale, you’ll need a higher SAT/ACT score. Judging by your courses, the ACT is a better fit for you. (Try to get 2250 or 34). Try directing your ECs towards your intended major. Get more leadership positions.
You still have time!
Please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1672761-chance-me-for-stanford-university.html

Do your SAT again man.

Your GPA and the rigor of your classes is really good! For the schools you are looking into I think you should definitely try to raise your SAT to at least a 2100 so that it doesn’t come across as a slight negative in your application. Or you could focus on the ACT which might be a better fit for you. Finding a focus with your ECs that reflects what you want to study would also be a good idea. I would qualify your schools as:

U Chicago: high reach
WashU: high reach
NYU: high match
UPenn: high reach
Yale: very high reach

Best of luck!

Ivy League schools are always a reach. You know how on admissions statistics many Ivies have a 25th percentile on the ACT around 32? Well you seem like a strong applicant for one of those 25th percentile spots. Standardized tests aren’t everything, and while taking the suggestions from the previous commenters and raising your act and sat scores is preferable, you already make a competitive applicant. You’ve taken advantage of some very advanced math classes in high school and are at the top of your class. Your GPA is very good. I would consider you a competitive applicant, but no one is a “match” for an Ivy league unless you’re a Clinton or a Gates.
