<essay topics="" rec's="">
Talk about very unique topic - excellent</essay>

My recs should be great-the teachers I chose loved me, and I did stuff outside of the classroom with them

Math teacher: had her freshman/junior year (spent 10+ hours per week getting math help from her freshman year, didn't do too well, had her again junior year, did great) and also the sponsor of WISE

English teacher: had him sophomore year (got the best grade on final project, he said it was one of the best he had ever seen in 20 years of teaching, absolutely loved having me in class) and the mentor for the tutoring program I do

<colleges applying="" to="">
Princeton (dream school) (grandfather, mother, and sister went there)
UChicago
UPenn
VTech
MIT
UVA
UMichigan
Cornell
UCB
CalTech</colleges>

If you don't think I have a shot at any of these schools, can you suggest some more for me to apply to?

Thank you!

You may consider UIUC and Purdue as well.
As for UMich CoE, your current SAT and GPA are below average. But you should still apply to EA while pending for new scores. You are high match to low reach right now.
MIT, CalTech are high reach.
UCB and Cornell are low reach.

Oops, I just realized I typed by GPA incorrectly. My unweighted in 3.88/4.0 and my weighted in 4.34/4.0 (+0.5 for honors, +1.0 for AP’s)

What about the Virginia schools and Princeton?

Princeton: reach
UChicago: reach
UPenn: reach
VTech: low match
MIT: reach
UVA: match
UMichigan: high match
Cornell: reach
UCB: low reach
CalTech: reach

With your recalculated GPA, UMich CoE is high match. Your chance for VA Tech and Princeton should be like scderek4 said. You should still try to improve your SAT.
