Please chance me-I'm not perfect!

I am aware that Universities take a very holistic approach when deciding whether or not to accept an individual. Regardless, I would like to see where the college confidential community thinks I stand. I am a female Indian Maryland resident. Please chance me please.
Thank you.

Summer Reading Program (+50 Hours)
I was a director of the summer reading program at the local library. I fostered and promoted literacy in elementary school children.

My main concern is that I was a part of basically every honors society and I am proud of myself for accomplishing this feat. It really bolsters my personal confidence that I have fulfilled my academic endeavors. However, my main passion is community service (and music), something that is of personal importance. Therefore, I channeled most of my efforts into service organizations like Key Club where I could do something of real social value. I was wondering if colleges would see my passion or inquiry why I did not pursue more of an active role in my various honors societies.

Look, USC knows that things like NHS aren’t really time intensive ECs. It is OK you didn’t pursue an active role in the honors organization – because if you did, admissions knows there’s not much to for for these programs anyway. I think your ECs are fine beacuse you show long term commitment to a select group of activities and not a scattered, half-hearted cluster of clubs/programs that you didn’t excel in.

Unless you’re applying to a specialized school or program at USC, I think you have a decent chance for Dornsife. If you’re going for something like Annenberg, Thornton, Marshall, SCA, Viterbi, etc – you might not have a great chance because your ECs don’t show involvement in any of those areas.

Welcome to USC, you’re in. You should post your AP Scores to help out with the decision. All 4’s and 5’s is overkill on your resume… job well done. other than that your stats are amazing. Remember to write a really good essay!

OP does not immediately stand out over other applicants who will have similar scores and grades. Similarly, the SAT is at the lower end of the middle 50% (it was 2020 in 2010), so I wouldn’t go so far to say that they are “in.”

Applying to USC is a crapshoot for anyone now, and unless an applicant has a 2200+ SAT with a 3.8+ UW GPA and outstanding ECs, it’s hard to say for anyone.

I think the OP should try to raise her test scores to improve chances at AT LEAST spring admission. Right now, the ECs are too generic and will do little for applicant to stand out in the minds of admissions.

I know a few people who got in with significantly lower stats, so who knows.

From reading your stats, it seems like you were extremely involved with extracurricular as well as extremely focused on your academics. These two things are immediately shown.

First of all Key Club, at least in my school, is THE student service club, so being so being elected an officer since your sophomore year, working your way up to presidency shows commitment to service, like you’ve mentioned. 650 hours of service is extraordinary.

As for the Preparatory for Collegiate Class, from what I understand it’s the highest ranking for piano performance. That also is not an easy feat, since you must have played 10+ YEARS and dedicated hours to practicing every day.

Bottom line, yes your 6 honors societies are overwhelming. However, it cannot be contested that you’re extremely academically accomplished. You’re ECs aren’t just good, they’re second to none.
Your grades aren’t just good, a 3.95 with 9 AP classes are not just good, they’re second to none.

From what I can tell, you’re an extremely strong contender. Good luck
